Choosing "No" will not let members add their own choices to your poll. This option makes sense for "Yes/No" types of questions.

  • End Date: Select the date you want members to stop voting on your poll. Leaving this field blank means your poll will remain open indefinitely. If you do select an end date, your poll will still appear on the site even after it has expired.

  • "Did You Know..." Facts: Enter interesting trivia or facts that you want other members to know about prior to voting. If you need to add more than two choices, just click on the "Add Another Fact" button. This information may be helpful to other members as they decide their vote. This field is optional.

  • Tags: Enter related tags so that your poll is searchable on the site. The more tags, the more likely your poll will show up in our search. Can't think of any tags? Don't worry, your poll choices are automatically inserted as tags. Please do not enter random/unrelated tags.
i.e. Did you get bullied when you were young?
    • Good tags: school, bully, fight, children, kids

Q: Why can't I always add my own choice to a poll?

A: This option is only available if the creator of the poll enables it.

Q: How come my poll doesn't show up immediately on the site?

A: There are two possibilities:
  1. Your poll has not yet been approved. To ensure a high standard, each poll goes through an approval process. The approval process may take up to 1 week.
  2. The poll start date is set to a future date. (i.e. Today is March 7, 2006; Your poll start date is May 27, 2006) To have your poll show up immediately, edit the start date to today's date.

Q: What do the different icons on the site mean?

A:
- Click on this icon to see an image for that choice.
- Click on this icon to see supplemental information to help you vote.
- Click on this icon to purchase related products.

Q: I've forgotten my password. How do I retrieve it?

A: Go to http://www.pollgenius.com/login/forgotPassword.php and enter your email address you used to register with. Your password will be emailed to you automatically.

Q: Why can't I vote in a poll more than once?

A: This safety measure has been put in place to preserve the integrity of the poll results. This way, users will not be able to skew poll results by voting multiple times.

Q: What does an expired poll mean?

A: Certain polls are time sensitive and to get accurate results we restrict voting within the start and end date specified by the poll. (i.e. Who will win the Super Bowl is 2006?) Once a poll has expired, you cannot vote in it anymore. Results for expired polls will remain up on the site indefinitely.

Q: My question hasn't been answered above. How can I get more help?

A: Send us an email and we'll try to answer your question as quickly as possible.
